Nope. What I said, and I quote, was: ''A mere glance being sufficient.''
In other words, a mere glance is sufficient to 'check the facts.'
Which is not the same as 'not even willing to check the facts'' - - - - a glance is both checking and showing willingness to check, at least to some degree.
Which, logically, is not the same as not checking at all.
