Correct me if I am wrong - I have not seen a "becoming a substatial notice lodged" on WMT. If this is the case, it means that all the big buyers over the last few weeks have been traders, and nothing more. I like the WMT story, but my concern is the lack of big investors. Throw into that a substantial sell and option exercises, that are imo being sold into the market, and it makes it hard to see this stock have a significant run up without any news in the next few weeks. I hold the stock, but have sold some at 27c, and will now wait for further news or a significant shareholder. Now before the usual suspects call me a downramper, I am just being realistic. I want to see this stock at $1 - it will be good for the u stocks and the market as a whole. Oh - and don't be fooled by directors buying stock - oldest trick in the book to ramp a share price. Directors of Davnet, ERG etc bought all the way down.
