There are technical challenges but not show-stoppers. IBG has progressed the mine license grant, finance underway. Fair enough people still doubt it, therein lies the opportunity for a cheap buy and re-rate through finance and construction. Berger, keen to hear thoughts on what it would take to convince.
In my view IBG will be producing sooner than some of the other projects, TZN has been talking for years about Tala Hamza but they have a difficult JV that can never agree, amazingly their market cap is $300M.
Anyway, about the sea ice. Google for pics of Rio's Diavik mine also near the arctic circle. That's a sea-wall and sea ice around the pits most of the year.
