The NFC BFS should be done before well before the end of November. It would be disappointing and surprising if funding then takes another 6 plus months from that point.
I would hope that negotiations with funding partners are well advanced to the point that the only final tick of approval required will be seeing the finalised figures in the BFS.
Both management and NFC should be chomping at the bit to get this funded and built, so I think the timeframe mentioned in the article is just JD giving them plenty of leeway in relation to expectations. Almost everting to date has taken longer than they have expected (much of it outside their direct control) and it is not meeting these announced timeframes that puts huge doubt in people’s mind and kills any price momentum. So perhaps better to be overly cautious with time frames now rather than the risk of over promising and underdelivering.
