As for many groups going through, but what with is the question. I'm only going on IRG news that they are the first to drill in the area. From that I would assume previous prospectors maybe only did a it of trench work etc? Honesty I don't know.
Does anyone know the track record of the head geologist?
As for what lies beneath you only need to look at IGR, East of Kalgoorlie where nothing had been found, till they drilled a little deeper than anyone else and bingo a great gold deposit. It is becoming a pattern where the easy to find deposit are well known, and with modern drilling and geology knowledge they can now find deeper just as rich deposits.
The surface assays have shown a good amount of gold still present, and I gather previous miners simply dug out the easy to access gold near the surface
As for thew weather, they get a normal wet season for that area, normal part of the cycle in that part of the world.
Though I thought they would have packed up by now unless they are planning more drilling in the near future, after getting the first program finished.
