Because they haven't been charged with anything.

Smith is pretty useless in his crusade against Gillard, the POA was a flop (as proven at the TURC), his recent attempt to link Gillard to the creation of a forged/fake document was another flop (details in the TURC documents).

A charge needs to be identified and articulated, rumour, suspicion, and wishful thinking are not sufficient grounds for laying charges.

For Gillard to even come close to being charged and convicted, Wilson and Blewitt need to be charged and convicted first to ascertain the nature of the offence.

Smith tries to make vague connections to Gillard that are not there, and promotes innuendo to feed what remains of his followers.

The TURC was the ideal venue to raise Gillard's complicity in the matter, but the TURC didn't achieve much in that regard.
