Given the Y2K Labor Party no longer rests on its foundation principals and is more about catering to beta males, shemales, himbos, christophobes, et al...... and it gets it's ideas from the Trudeau rainbow junta ...... will the party push for an all out change culture of 15 minute cities, not just in Victoria, but everywhere?

    The hook is energy conservation

In a 15-minute neighbourhood, residents can exercise, skate, and bike in public spaces that are created for the purpose. The city of Vancouver has identified no fewer than 22 recently completed improvements to city parks, ranging from the New Brighton Park Shoreline, whose salt marsh doubles as a habitat for wildlife, to the Quilchena Skateboard Park. Parks and beaches can also be cultural venues for professional as well as amateur performers. People can simply spend their free time to read at these outdoor locales. Furthermore, school grounds can act as “oasis yards,” which double as urban heat sinks.

A community centre would be an integral part of the neighbourhood, where people can perform, express themselves, and interact with each other. The city has 24 of them, and funds have been earmarked for upgrades.

The Vancouver government will continue to invest in businesses of proximity, as part of the Climate Emergency Action Plan. According to it, 90 per cent of residents’ daily needs will be an easy distance “walk or roll” by 2030. According to a 2022 SFU study, 79 per cent of Vancouverites are within an easy walk from a grocery store; 99 per cent are within a 15-minute bicycle ride from one.
