good analogy but is it really relevant? Do LYC need to apply for the permit or is it just issued as soon as the containers are inspected at the port??
i believe they need to apply for the permit and are working towards that end, however until it's issued the concentrate sits in freemantle. Then once they have the permit can then send a load to malaysia.
So still plenty of time to get the 1st feed in before the end of October.
But what it does say to me is that this is why the increase in shorting has commenced. Everyone expects any day that the concentrate will turn up. When it doesnt and a few shake outs in a week or so and then the rumours will really fly.
i believe LYC should just be up front and say the permitting process is at this stage and as soon as we have it we will issue a statement.
yes the protestors will be given warning but they will get there warning anyway. A bribe to a a security guard on $5 a week will get them the info.
By keeping it secret it plays into the insto's games as the only thing worse then bad news is no news.
If were still here in 2 weeks what will the weak holders be doing? Bearing in mind read some of the posts in this thread and many believe its possible the concentrate has already left. Thats an assumption and thats perfect for a shakeout, because if the AELB were to release a statement in 2 weeks still waiting on paper work what will it do to those holders.
I agree once this is up and running there isnt any need for this type of reporting, but i believe it would only benefit the retail holders to do so.
If we were told 3 weeks to get the permit there isnt any negative spin you can put on it. We simply just wait three weeks. Or we will have the perit by this date, expect concentrate to leave and arrive at said dates and 1st feed in by this date.
To just say feed in by october has people thinking and hoping for 1st of october but that is to subjective.
