Hi Apex,
- I know you haven't ignored me. They say that on every forum I go to where I discover anomolies or have a glass half empty view.
- You are aware that theGoldsworthy East tenement is covered by a 5-10m cover of transported soil and scree which has largely inhibited previous exploration, This transported soil doesn't just end up there.
- Therefore, in my opinion (however, there is a great possibility that I am wrong) but perhaps the rocks used from sampling was waste rock embedded in the earth over 3 -4 decades? I also find it hard to believe that either Mouint Goldsworthy Mining Associates or BHP would not have done their own surveys at the time. It's kind of stupid don't you think to not survey the area before dumping the waste and overburden there? They didn't just guess in the days that there was likely iron ore mineralisation in an area. So, we are saying they dumped overburden/waste there (in the East Goldsworthy tenement) without checking for mineralisation of an economic value?
- At the time Iron ore was something they thought was a rare commodity in the area. How wrong they were!!!!!
Below is part of an article from the AFR about 34 years ago.".....MGMAhas a current annual output of about 6.5 million tonnes and the purchase wouldlift BHP-Utah's total output in the
Pilbara region by about 14 per cent. MGMAhas a number of leases in the Pilbara area, including the Shay Gap deposits, east
of Mount Goldsworthy. "BHP has a high level of confidence in thelong-term outlook for the iron ore export industry," Mr
McDonald said."
Just some food for thought. Disclaimer: These are my opinions but also facts from my research.
