Good research. Wow, for Martin Wood to come onto hotcopper means he was clearly pissed off. Good on him for giving you guys the real story.

Well, I don't know whether Agbaja was ever taken seriously by investors (clearly not from the market cap it had for so long).
I don't believe the market believed anything it said.

Not sure why they couldn't get investors if the project was economic.

When I was following Kogi, all I know is that there was very high phosphorus levels in the ore and it was proving a challenge to get the final product to acceptable phosphorus levels for export to steel mills. After that, I stopped following Kogi so was not and am not up to speed because of it's demise.

If you say the demise was for the reasons you stated I believe you. I guess Martin may have explained the real story.

"Do you know if BHP explored the area?" YES

As far as I was aware, BHP ceased operations at Mt Goldsworthy as it had depleted all of the ore.

Did you know that BHP was the first iron ore mining company to commence operations in the Pilbara? Just saying.

There is one more exploration and one producing company that have explored the area.
I will feed them to you slowly.
I did not say the exact same area but pretty much around Mount Goldsworthy mine. I will find out more info hopefully later today.
Going back to what I said in an earlier post. Mount Goldsworthy surrounding area was rehabilitated. Where do you think they deposited the overburden and waste rock? It had to go somewhere? It's been over 30 years that it has weathered, compacted, vegetation grown etc. Where is it? Also, outcropping doesn't mean anything. There are heaps of that on EL's hence why there are many granted. Most prove unsuccessful for a find.

The Pilbara is massive (over 500,000km2). Finding a deposit is almost like finding a needle in the hay stack. How many km2 is Goldsworthy East? Look at the odds. Tenement is approx 30m2 at best. 500,000km2/30m2 = 16,667 to 1 chance of hitting pay dirt. That's the facts. they are the odds.
How many exploration licences do you think BHP and RIO have or taken out? How many iron ore mines do they have? Interesting isn't it?

Besides I talk s, so what does it matter?
