Male crime has also been explored through a biological lens. an interesting article.... I wonder if the Professor also mentioned that male behaviour was, and often remains, identical with other primates. from adolescence to late 30's when testosterone levels tend to decline slowly.

chimpanzees form gangs to attack other family groups, capture females and children and cannibalise their male victims. by doing this they remove competitors and can take over the territory of the group they took.
