i don’t lust after a corporate career but I do work - the consequence of having a life disrupted by someone not far from you in their thinking. I happen to believe contribution is useful

an important discipline in life is to avoid assuming you know things about people and insert your own interpretation. It puts you into a prison of your own mind.
btw it’s always possible that if you were dating women your behaviour had something to do with any reaction they had. Your outright stubbornness, your intellectual dishonesty and your complete lack of humility and self insight would be pretty hard to take. But pat yourself on the head if you managed to find a woman who could put up with you.
