Unfortunately or fortunately the womens lib movement has meant many women who maybe didn't want to work have to now due to pressure from society or just to compete with other women/families who are in the workforce
i think that we’ve also created an economy where it’s more than competing that has women working - two income families are what enables many ordinary families to survive above the breadline.
