Many / most men of his generation (and no doubt yours) have learnt from the day they were born that a woman's job is to breastfeed, take care of them and make sure they are happy. The lucky ones grow up and realise that is not women's sole purpose or function in life and grow beyond the need to have a nursemaid and handmaiden. They learn that women have their own intellect and are not dependent on a man to work out what to think. They learn that women too have a need for self expression and have ambition and desire.
