That would require doctors from the east coast to move. Sell up their homes, relocate families to be in the same position they are in already in the east coast.
McGowan is prevented from bringing in overseas doctors as that is a federal govt programme. Overseas doctors must be accredited in Australia before being able to work. They would have needed to arrive in Australia prior to 2019 to be allowed to practice without supervision or work in metro hospitals.
Social comments saying McGowan has had 2 years to find extra doctors is simply bullshit. They are either still second year med students or overseas doctors that have not yet served their accreditation time.
