it may also make you much more sensitive to what you see as injustice and pain of others. That’s a good characteristic and I understand it.
for my part I had many members of my extended family murdered by the nazis and it affected the way my fathers family handled the war. It’s easy to get highly distressed by violence and what seems so senseless.
my way of dealing with these things is to try to understand what is going on and why. Because I believe that unless on can approach it rationally you are bound to replace one form of violence with another.
it is that which I fear will happen as it has on an ongoing basis in the Middle East.
