Firstly, the big winners out of the years of fruitless litigation has been the legal profession. Farmers, miners townspeople,shareholders have all endured this torturous path. But millions has been added to the super accounts of the numerous legal "eagles". Each one offered their respective clients "new hope".
Secondly, i recall the obfuscation by the Queensland Premier, not wishing to make a decision until all legal avenues have been exhausted. By HCA ordering a new
hearing ,the chance of that Premier making a decision will be deferred for at least two years or more. The new Acland mine should be renamed ," ye old acland mine site."
