I expect some unscrupulous individuals to spread fear uncertainty and doubt regardless of the sale price. They'd even go as far as shorting and selling to push the price down and create an environment of fear so that weak hands sold. To obtain a viable price, just compare the cost per tonne of the SMR/BMC deal and use this to value the price of the BMA sale. This gives a good ball park figure... but it won't be perfect because of all the small differences between the mines with their external long term contracts. Personally, I'm expecting $3b for both Blackwater and Daunia... and I'd expect the WHC price to rally on such news. I wouldn't be upset if $4b is the sale price, but, I wouldn't expect the WHC price to rally anywhere near as hard...

To be ultra-realistic... the price of WHC at $6 is super cheap when value compared to peers. So even if they do pay over $3b, the price can't go backwards very much before the big money starts buying in hard. I'm currently putting $6 for WHC as a good floor regardless of the sale. So much so that I rolled just over half of my NHC into WHC the other week when WHC was trading in the $6.10s... the price valuation delta was to big to ignore.
