    whilst this is correct - ''For the past month or more, the argument rejecting nuclear energy has overwhelmingly been about cost and to a lesser extent the time involved in building large-scale nuclear power plants.''

    personally I think the issues against nuclear are that cost should be the least concern -

    it IS the timing and the timing is determined by many factors - IMO, all of which are more problematic than pure cost

    I frankly don't think that in this era right now - that Australia could do nuclear at all

    even if it could afford to pay a reasonable amount and was fully prepared to.

    You just cannot get Ted and Mick from Walkabout Creek to design and build this kind of thing - you just can't

    and the people who are required through every level of nuclear design and build and run - are in monster demand by many nations

    little old Oz and Walkabout Creek just don't cut the mustard

    it's 40 or 50 or more years too late
