That's the crux of the matter. They are not reliable and the cost is not competitive with coal. The scale required is not achievable. The global warming alarmists need to be discredited for what they are, Alarmists. If Greta was right, we would be swimming in our backyards by now. We are a land of flooding rains and droughts, always have been and always will be. That's one reason why we need more dams. The greenies need to understand that dams will also reduce the need for coal fired power. New dams are a better proposition than pumped hydro.
