The NSW was at Glen Innes, not Childers, I had a grazing property there 35 years ago. We are talking about two different springs, the picture is from a tourist add. Obviously taken when there was a great flow of water and not during drought times when I would expect it to be dry. Maybe they restrict the irrigator so that it doesn't run dry these days. It used to be open slather. At one stage I had a license to pump from the Beardy River at Glen Innes. I used to often stop the flow when I was using a couple of large pumps. My License was restricted by the pump size at first. In later times it was restricted by the amount of water drawn from the river.

The Beardy River runs into the Severn River where my second property was. The creek I wanted to dam started on my place and fed into the Severn River which was my property boundary.
