yes its coming. just as reliable energy mix is coming. what has been needed to prepare for this is a) stable government, not fluctuating between left and right b) willingness of Govt to actually plan and execute such plans c) corporate involvement to capitalise on installations of grid system renewal, renewable energy tech which exceeds current availability and establishing small community energy hubs d) willingness of the major energy producers to invest in new tech and prepare to demolish old tech (coal/gas) e) realisation by those currently opposed to future developments to let go of current beliefs and extend their investment prospects to future tech.
