You can also add in over the last years copper, zinc, agricultural, lithium, potassium, and gold booms (some of them have repeated). Thus I started a general thread "best stocks exposed to LNG" two and a half weeks ago which was to encourage posters to gain from gathering the main part of the boom. It certainly is not at the start as MRM, CLO, DCG, NMS etc have risen very rapidly over the last couple of months. Pretty much in line as Gorgon press has become abundant.
Plenty of scope to move further though with $10b in contracts to be issued (before the end of the year) once they get the formal go ahead (expected in the next week).
Normally these booms can go for a year or further and individual stocks can get massive momentum. This boom may be different in that it might be a decade long given the huge leads times for these projects ie Pluto / Gorgon now and Browse / Wheatstone and others 4 or 5 years down the track (hopefully nicely staggered).
