It is the coalition who does not care about the little guy in the street. They opposed Labor's Economic Stimulus which was designed to cushion the effects of the GFC to protect not just the little guy in the street but businesses. Labor's efforts had been a roaring success, "

The Coalition would have used some stimulus but it would have been properly targeted, not wasted as happened with Labor.
Remember the total debacle of the pink batts, and the school halls which were built at ridiculous costs, often for schools which have now closed!!! Then all the $900 cheques for dead people.

The Independents will back whomever leads Labor. Unless there are various by elections (entirely possible) and then they will happily switch to the coalition if that is what will keep them from losing their seats. Not one of them gives a stuff about their constituents or the general voting public. They, like 99% of politicians, are entirely self interested.

The whole farce must be making Australia the laughing stock of the world, at least if any other country can be bothered taking notice. A bunch of kindy kids would have more capacity to sort out their differences.

Meantime they continue to throw our tax dollars around as if there is no tomorrow. Especially irritating is the $10,000 average per asylum seeker household in household goods as a "welcome package". This totally outrages me, when we have our own Australians homeless because of inadequate treatment for mental health problems, or living in a caravan because they are still awaiting a payout after the floods.
