    Menzies formed the Liberal party (choosing the name "Liberal" to deliberately mislead the electorate - Conservatives in sheeps' clothing) in 1944 with one aim - to get into power. He had the backing of the big end of town. He then roped in rural support who joined him because Labor did not want a coalition with them.

    It had absolutely nothing to do with what was best for Australia
    in 1948 the banks ganged up against the government with Menzies as a compliant tool, winning the 1949 with massive financial support. He then ruled until he retired in 1966 operating as the front man for US interests.

    The Liberals have never had Australia's interests at heart - only their own and those that pay their bills.

    Mind you, the same can be said of the ALP

    Finally, the worm has turned and neither has real power.

    Let's see how they go now their ruses have been uncovered
