The problem we have right now is, that, anyone who had a few drinks with a friend or fellow worker 30 or 40 years ago, can be accused of rape.
I don't know whether the allegations are true or not, but I would be very careful passing judgement on something that is alleged to have happened so long ago. Getting all of the facts together would make a decision practically impossible.
