Complaining about the government paying stood down staff due to a pandemic no one saw coming. People who have worked for many years and some for more than a decade and paid their taxes. Yet we have a few million teens and people on the dole for many years before this suddenly getting twice as much and have decided they’ll just sit on the couch than work, take drugs or binge on alcohol. The support is necessary not just for Qantas but for many others. Happy to pay my tax to support them. As for those bludgers we are all unwittingly propping up, they need to spend their money on a holiday by flying the Roo.
