Qantas would have no significant assets left to sell apart from some planes, and you can imagine what they'd be worth right now.
Indeed, Joyce was insane to miss the opportunity to raise equity at these mad prices. That's the only way to have truly repaired his balance sheet and by the time he comes around to needing to do this (some time next year) it will be obvious that his forecasts have been way too optimistic and the share price will be significantly lower then than it is now.
