The nature of investing is that you need to be forward looking. In years to come I suspect this will likely be a blip on the radar. If you wait for the future to look rosy then you’ll have missed your chance.

I am a little surprised at where the share price is at though, but it makes sense in some ways. I believe Qantas will bounce back stronger. This pandemic has given them all the justification they needed to implement a lot of cost cutting that I doubt they’d have been able to get across the line in good times. International is also only a small part of the business and domestic is likely to boom in the near term. Also consider less competition from Virgin and it all starts to add up a little more.
