A swathe of debt that needs a lot of poring over financial notes and its debt history - its really should be mandatory for companies to list their specific debts by structure and data yearly, but alas we have to pore over the financial notes.
As of 30 June 2021, their fixed/floating split was 41/59%.
Yes, that's a lot of floating rate debt and another reason, of many, I am happy shorting Qantas when it trades on near its pre-pandemic highs when you consider dilution of shareholders with the 2020 share issue.
I must confess I need to get off HC and go through their derivatives positions. So many big corporations make mistakes when doing debt derivative debt deals with banks, hence the latter are always keen to add that componenent - they price them with Monte Carlo anaylsis etc.
