    Hey, vendor of lies, show me where I ever told anyone to sell Qantas at $3? Or $4 or $5 for that matter. I have been an owner in the past of Qantas at $3 in fact, as comments on HC will reflect.

    What I have flagged, as the whole world now seems to be cottoning on to, is a global monetary tightening in the face of entrenched inflation, coupled with a falling consumer discretionary spending led recession, and how Joyce has foregone critically needed CapEx (yes astute flyers would rather fly a brand new Bonanza jet than a 15 year Qantas jet) to instead splurge on another share buyback that the balance sheet can ill afford.

    The loyalty scheme has been the biggest earner for Qantas for decades and alas the brand of Qantas goes down more and more (and with it prospective forward earnings on loyalty/brand schemes):

    Sadly, this is actually pretty serious stuff beyond your little super fund, with Aussies genuinely starting to be put at risk with aging planes that should be grounded, being put back into service:
