What you say is true, but you're not comparing apples.
There are some transport stocks that have done far better than QAN in CY 2023. LAU and SNL (I hold both) are two examples: much smaller market capitalisation but have none of the issues QAN faces such as its yet to be resolved 'ghost flights' court battle with the ACCC. LAU has to contend with the recent Queensland cyclone/storms that have reduced the mango and banana crops, but it's expanded in other areas. SNL is a good little company that keeps on growing, and lacks red flags as far as I can see.
