To answer re domestic capacity, with lockdowns affecting our two largest cities, QAN's target is not realistic.
Hundreds of flights are being cancelled every day.
These are only rough figures, but about 40 per cent of QAN's passengers in 'normal times' pass through SYD, and not far behind is Melbourne Airport. So around 70 per cent of QAN's flights use at least one or the other, but states like WA have shut eastern states' residents out, so hard for QAN to operate multiple flights per day as there's few eligible passengers.
One unanswered question is if and when the states no longer impose lockdowns, will QAN suddenly need to (re)hire more staff? This comes at a cost.
