I do remember Compass 2, and you're right, it was a bail out that didn't last long. Impulse was short lived as you said.
I can't remember if Kendall was taken over by Hazelton Airlines, later to become Rex.
East West was absorbed into Ansett in 1993 sealing its fate when Ansett went under. Australian Airlines was bought out by Qantas in the 90s I think.
