You may be forgetting that in 2019 - the last 'normal' pre-COVID year, just under 170000 deaths occurred in Oz, or about 463 a day.

Granted, the number of young people passing from COVID may rise but one or two at present, while sad and may I wish them/her RIP, is not statistically significant.

We never hear politicians speaking daily about the 1100 in Oz who annually die on the roads, 3000 plus from suicide or thousands more from heart disease or a multitude of cancers, so let's put the situation in perspective.

More dangerous than influenza, which causes 1000 deaths in a 'normal' year (but hardly any this year): yes. But is COVID-19 the Black Plague: no.

Last I looked overall death rates this year in Oz were below 2019's equivalent to date, something again our scaremongering politicians and health advisers constantly fail to let the community know.

This huge overreaction and the media's constant fascination with 'cases' - most of whom recover - is costing QAN big time, as it is many other travel related stocks, and it isn't improving societal welfare.
