How can that be the correct way of looking at it?
Aus gold producers pay their staff and costs in Aud. Yet they sell their gold in USD . So of course if we are selling our gold right now then our profit has jumped because we are getting $1830 Aud per Oz (or 1370 USD) For it which is more than we've ever got before. Yet our costs are still in Aud so they are proportionally low. So I'm not sure how your statement is logical. This is as good as its ever been for Aus producers thanks to the disparity in USD vs AUS $
I feel a bit silly that we even have to break this down its all so obvious isn't it?
