Promoting junior sides is the way to go, in the hope that a European club signs them up. Soccer is a European sport when we talk of the best players, irrespective of where the players came from initially. Our best tennis players come from junior tennis camps and go on to get their experience overseas. Only in swimming do we have an edge, and overseas swimmers come here for experience. We must expect our best players to leave Australia for Europe, and our coach must be active in European style soccer tactics.
