A quick look at foreign debt owed by Sri Lanka.
International capital market borrowing 47 percent, Asian Development Bank 13 percent, China 10 percent, Japan 10 percent, World Bank 9 percent, India 2 percent, and others 9 percent.
As of 31 December 2021, ADB's five largest shareholders are Japan and the United States (each with 15.6% of total shares), the People's Republic of China (6.4%), India (6.3%), and Australia (5.8%)
Funny how the Japanese are immune from any "debt trap" diplomacy criticism.
