Its only one store (Parramatta) to trial it following trials in Toronto, Canada. The store, to be rebranded KFC Urban, is an "independent" one anyway - having many menu items not "sanctioned" by KFC - so the likelihood of it spreading to other KFC franchises is not certain. There is a lot of opposition to this move, even though new kids on the block (Grill'd, Nando's, etc) who label themselves as "fast casual restaurants", as opposed to fast-food joints.
An interesting development that begs the question: if the older "known" brands are falling out of favour, what is CKF doing to evolve?
