Just jumping in here, I have not read all of this thread. But he who hesitates is lost.
I have a lot of experience in real estate both as a property investor over many years, also being in the business. It can be a tough road at times but very rewarding. We do not have to take the Australian pension as we have provided for ourselves.
The mistake that many make is buying into affluent suburbs, this is far too expensive. Buy country properties, roll up your sleeves do them up and move on.
