I was wrong. Pattersons will only facilitate the placing of any shortfall so no guarantees at all.

RSG's banker, Barclays Capital, may help but has its own capital infusion needs. The banking regulator has given them until March next year to raise $US 11B ($US 5.1B of this is hoped to be raised by year-end). Else the UK government will likey bail them out leading to lending restrictions etc.
