That sounds all nice and spooky and everything. But I can put my hand on my heart and say that the work ethic of born and bred Australians pales in comparison to nearly every other nationality I've worked with. Most are an absolute asset to both our skilled and unskilled workforce.
Agree that there's very little reason (aside from physical and mental disability) for someone to be unemployed at the moment. The unemployment rate and demand for labour shows that. Are we ever going to get to 0% unemployment? Probably not. The reality is that a healthy unemployment rate (a bit of an oxymoron I know) is probably better than a skills shortage.
