No visible footprint does not prove anything. I had an investment once, it required me to form a trust to which I gave a name - the name was just an acronym and meant nothing. It took me all of 2 days to form an entity in which I could place funds and make the investment.

As for connections, plenty of people in certain circles have associations - they hang out together etc. We are talking about people involved in mining which narrows things down, then those who have experience in certain roles which narrows it down and so on. I am certainly not defending or supporting these associations and the investments, but I am just trying to make sense of some sort of missing part of the puzzle.

It is more than just Rich lead - the other shareholders have continued to put funds in - why? Why don't they see it as a failure and cut their losses? What are they 'hanging on' to?

There must be another angle.
