Cortis is correct. In many instances the youth of today do not have a clue. I'm in a position where I'm involved daily with students of various age groups. Their schooling has let them down and in many instances by teachers who themselves have been let down by a dumbing down of the school curriculum. It is amazing the lack of general knowledge shown by many students, particularly about the workings of society and the very important role of science in today's world. Instead of believing in the scientific truths they are more likely to opt for the more mystical or 'feel good' aspects of life that do not reflect what is really occurring.

Also, some of the older generation on this forum who may also have benefitted from the dumbing down of our education system - a product of the Dawkins Education System which has not yet been rectified! Does that ring a bell GM and others of the same faith? You all seem to have the traits of a lost education system.

And this lack of basics is now probably going to be reflected at the next poll.

It's a pity that democracy is achieved only by the whims of the lowest common denominator which is a reflection of our biased education system!

So isn't kev's Education Revolution going to be a RIPPER!
