From the latest ASX announcement on 29th November:

Kidman’s Managing Director, Mr. Martin Donohue, said "The major focus of the 2017 drilling program has been to expand the already globally significant Earl Grey Mineral Resource to enhance the long-term planning for the Integrated Lithium Project. This clarity in scale provides greater confidence in the supply chain capacity of the Project for potential customers in the automotive and energy storage sectors."

My impression is: KDR is going to lock in a supply deal with VW and/or Tesla. In fact, they have clearly communicated that they only want to deal with European and North American customers. KDR is the only company in Australia that has the monster resource to satisfy these giant automotive/energy storage corporations' demand for lithium.

But hopefully these deals will be announced soon enough before Rio Tinto or ALBERMARLE + TIANQI decide to launch a take-over of KDR. I want a sp = $3 before any take-over by a 3rd party.
