Ewl, the AGM is tomorrow at 10.30 am. (The Royal Kings Park Tennis Club, Kings Park Road, West Perth). Will you be getting along? I doubt that there'll be much of a turn out, since QAD seems to slip under the radar for most. However, like you, I am most excited about the company's prospects.
I believe Monday will be the last time the AGM will be held in Perth, as the company is soon to be headquartered in Melbourne - so for Perth-based investors a good opportunity to pump Michael Boyd for his vision for Quadrant.
Actually, I spoke with both Michaels, Boyd and Abela, during the week and operationally, things are still proceeding exceptionally well. Friday's Announcement that the company has increased its stakes in Q-Tel (Jersey) Ltd to 50%, and in the global SMS development company, SMS Access Ltd, to 40%, point to a major part of Quadrant's future direction.
I put the question directly to him, and Michael Boyd reassured me that Quadrant IS to be his next vehicle, the place where his energies ARE henceforth to be focussed. Given the man's track record, that's good enough for me!
I believe there may be fresh news released at the AGM though, to their credit, both Michaels are meticulous in observing corporate proprieties, and I have no clue as to what it may be about.
Whatever, I believe the Meeting should be a triumphal affair compared to previous years. QAD has certainly turned the corner in the past 12 months, and I'm expecting continued growth into 2005.
