I'm not a Trump supporter at all but likely facts are likely facts and his ego won't allow the Washington insult to just pass.
Erdogan is of course far far worse than Trump. Erdogan is so ridiculous that he believes his own propaganda and will likely be of the view that Turkey can strengthen it's manufacturing sector with a trashed lira. He is also likely to believe that dire economic conditions will actually improve his voter base of the poor, the dispossessed and Salafi Islamists.
The risk to all of us is that many EU Banks are not strong enough to hold up against major defaults from a G20 country.
To add, Russia has a lot invested in Erdogan. If and when he is ousted that investment may turn to something not welcomed by our Putin supporting friends.
