Even though he's been told by every specialist out there that this would cause thousands, if not tens of thousands of unneeded deaths.
The US has also just had the largest jump in death numbers. So yes, he keeps reiterating he is choosing the economy over people.
We all need to be mindful of this because if it takes off in the US their indices will tank, and regardless of how VMT (or any company) is doing, its SP will tank as well.
