Why would Xinwen want to buy expensive access to coal now, when it can do so later for less? Maybe the Chinese have their own strategic motivations I'm unaware of, but now seems like the stupidest time to buy coal.
A few months from now, the markets will have bottomed out. THEN they can buy some cheap access to future coal.
I can't see the Xinwen sale going through for the original price. The Chinese have workers walking around scratching their hemorrhoids. What do they want more coal for?
