Speaking to those I know in the Port Kembla works I am told that the blast furnaces, steelmaking and all rolling mills are working to maximum capacity. They are struggling to keep up with orders.
These orders would not have been accepted unless they were at profitable prices.
I therefore think that the HY result will surprise most observers.
I also hear that the NZ Steel unit is in a similar position.
If a costomer wants to place an order they will have to wait 6+ months for it to be produced.
This information is not confirmed in announcements so DYOR and treat it with scepticism.
